    Where To Stay In Torquay

    By RomanticHeart | September 30, 2008

When it comes to where to stay in Torquay there’s a big choice of different types of accommodation to choose from. But be warned if you’re thinking about visiting this coastal town during the summer months then it’s best to choose and book your place to stay well ahead of time. Because of its temperate weather, Torquay is a town that attracts visitors of all ages right the way through the year and especially in summer.

During this article, we will look at just some of the kinds of accommodation that are now available for you to select from when staying in Torquay. Along with the many hotels, guesthouses and B&B’s there are also self catering and other places to stay as well.

If you would rather be away from the hustle and bustle of the town then it’s worth thinking about booking your place in a quiet farmhouse. Torquay boasts lots of farms who to help make ends meet are now letting out rooms to people visiting the Torquay area.

As you’d expect, the accommodation is good quality and they are value for money as well. Plus if you have children with you what could be more enjoyable than giving them the chance to interact with animals. It will definitely give them plenty to speak about when they go back to school after their summer holiday.

Another relatively inexpensive way of spending time in Torquay is by staying at one of the many camp grounds and caravan sites, which are located close to the town. The environment is often very friendly and certainly your children will soon be making new friends whilst you’re relaxing. You have the choice of either staying at ones which are right next to the coastline or ones that are situated a bit inland.

The available caravans and camper homes on these sites that are available to rent offer you some of the luxuries you would expect at home. They have a shower, along with a kitchen and a TV, plus they are extremely spacious compared to a hotel room. On average, depending on the exact unit you choose to rent you can expect to pay around £300 per week for a stay in one.

That said, if you’d prefer to stay right in the town centre and so within easy reach of all its facilities then it’s best to book a hotel, guesthouse or B&B for your vacation. There are plenty of them to choose from and they all offer good quality lodging. Certainly, for those whose budget is somewhat limited then choosing a guest house or bed & breakfast would be preferable to a hotel.

When you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay, you can choose your accommodation from these Torquay hotels and guest houses. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the variety of accommodation that you can select from. However, as mentioned previously it’s important that you book your accommodation well ahead of your stay in Torquay especially if intending to visit the town of Torquay during the height of the summer season.
