By RomanticHeart | December 4, 2008
When it comes to where to stay in Worcester you will find that you are spoilt for choice. There is everything from top quality luxury hotels to caravan and campsites which allow you to get back to nature if you so wish. But along with these, you will find much more reasonably priced accommodation in the form of bed and breakfasts and guesthouses. If you prefer the idea, you can choose from a wide range of self catering places to stay as well.
As anywhere, the price of hotels in Worcester varies considerably. We’ll take a look at some of the ones that could be on your shortlist.
1. Ye Olde Talbot Hotel – is in the city center and directly opposite Worcester Cathedral. The hotel itself was an old coaching inn and dates back to the 13th Century and a night’s stay in one of its 28 rooms will cost from £45.00 per room per night.
2. Bank House Hotel and Country Club – if you’re looking for a comfortable leisure break then this is well worth your consideration. Much will depend on the time of year but you should be able to stay for the night from around £36.00.
3. Fownes Hotel – another central hotel (like Ye Olde Talbot Hotel), although the building used to be a Victorian glove factory. However, this hotel has 61 rooms available and also like Ye Olde Talbot Hotel has a restaurant and bar also. The cost of a nights stay in this hotel in Worcester starts at around £40.00.
4. If you are working on a low budget and you don’t mind staying in a room that could be anywhere in the country, check out the Travelodge. Room prices begin at around £27.50 per night for a room and it offers you good quality, comfortable facilities. One of the best things about this particular hotel is that it is just two minutes walk away from Worcester Cathedral, so you can get anywhere in the city easily.
5. Whitehouse Hotel – centrally located on the High Street, this is one of Worcester’s few 4 star hotels. You’re close to everything: city center shops and restuarants, Worcester Cathedral and the famous Royal Worcester china factory. Although it’s located on the High Street, you won’t need to worry about traffic noise as the city has turned this area into a pedestrian zone.
Above we have shown just a few of the places where to stay in Worcester. However, a quick search of the site at the end of this article will give you lots more places within your budget.
