Does Las Vegas have too many casinos, or should they just build some more?

The casinos in Vegas have always been the centre of its attention. The surroundings in all the casinos are definitely luxury like, the casinos themselves offer us all the fun we could need. Is this all a bit too much though…. Are the casinos just completely taking over Vegas?

On Monday a new casino called the Sand’s Bethlehem Casino opened up bringing the count of casinos in Las Vegas to 122. Las Vegas holds host to almost 200,000 slot machines, enough to keep any gambler happy. Is this not a ridiculously high amount of slot machines. About 36 million people visit Las Vegas from all around the world every year. People don’t always go to Las Vegas just so they can burn holes in the pockets. People also go to this wondrous place to get married, about 300 Las Vegas weddings are conducted every day.

That’s a lot of gambling and a lot of weddings, the casinos do contribute a large amount of recreational activities. What do we think about 120 casinos is that too much, it might just be the right amount. Las Vegas is known for some of it’s most famous casinos like Caesars Palace and the Bellagio. These bring in a huge amount of revenue for Las Vegas. People are packing in the Florida Villas idea and moving to the gambling nation.

Now that British Airways have set up a direct flight to Las Vegas from Heathrow I am sure that the visiting rates will be increasing as well. Should we be trying to stop the building of more casinos in Las Vegas? No we don’t, it is the capital of gambling, of course they are going to be building more and more casinos. I am sure that there will be a point when there is not much more reason to create more casinos because the current ones will be bringing in all the business. At the moment, the casinos Vegas can supply our gambling needs with all our requirements. Las Vegas holidays will be growing from year to year and so will the amount we spend in the casino.
