The Santa Catalina Monastery Art

In Arequipa Peru, stands the beautiful Santa Catalina priory. The Santa Catalina priory has been closed to the public for quite a long time, but has just opened. Now the main area is a historic art museum. If you get the likelihood, go to the priory, if not for the architecture or for the priory itself, go see the gorgeous art housed there.

The priory is walled in with lots of different areas. It has got a washing and kitchen together with streets and other places which are all beautiful and superb. Solely to see the outside buildings and streets are well worth the visit. The priory building was built in the latter 1500s. It is in colonial and mestizo style and made of white volcanic ash and has excellent vaulted ceilings. All of the design is astounding, like the hall formed as a cross. All of the priory is photo deserving and it would be a shame to miss all the beauty.
