How to Save When Visiting Disney World
By RomanticHeart | September 13, 2008
Saving some cash when you go to DisneyWorld probably seems to be a contradiction, but with a little smart planning and preparation, visitors can have a great visit to Orlando without running up a huge bill.
The Walt Disney World Resort is definitely huge, covering almost 48 total miles just outside Orlando, Florida. There are four major amusement areas, Epcot, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom. With so much to see, visitors almost always spend at least 7 days or more just to take it all in. Disney has built more than 12 resorts just to take care of everyone visiting the area.
Obviously, Disney recognizes that people are searching for different options when going to Orlando. Because of this, they have resorts that fit everyone’s budget. Resorts are classified into Value, Moderate, and Deluxe classifications. Value is sort of the Walt Disney way of saying cheap, but you won’t be let down, as the Disney Value hotels are nice and comfortable. Moderate hotels are definitely nicer, offering bigger rooms and full-service, sit down dining on the property.
Deluxe hotels at Disney are top of the line accommodations designed to satisfy and placate any visitor. Many of the hotels such as the Contemporary Resort and Yacht Club are on the elevated train, so you can easily ride to Epcot without using a rental car or riding a bus. Guest accommodations are much larger, and the Disney experience is of course magical.
How should you go about picking a Disney Hotel? Well would you rather spend your money on gifts or indulge your family with the best, after all you are on holiday? Value options like the Pop Century Resort can cost somewhere from $70 to $120 per night, while Deluxe Hotel start from $200 and go higher from there. As you can tell, if you multiply that by 6 to 9 nights, you could end up spending thousands extra just for a better place.
The option belongs to the visitor, but no matter what you decide, you will be sure Disney World employees will work hard to be sure you and your family have a great visit.
